Leneé Pezzano:
I know last week I told you that we would be addressing self-sabotage today and that whole being kind to yourself thing. But you know how sometimes Holy Spirit just drops an opportunity in front of you that you can't refuse. That's what happened. So tune in next week and we'll continue on, but this week you don't wanna miss it.
If you've ever wrestled with perfectionism or wondered how to step into what God's calling you to, you're gonna have to listen to. My interview today was summer day. Summer was just an ordinary girl who struggled a lot with perfectionism, and at some point she lost everything she had ever built and had a complete breakdown.
Had no idea who she even was. And you get to hear her powerful story of going from rock bottom to leading a global movement.
I'm talking TV show with
[00:01:00] millions of listeners, bestselling author of few books. But the other thing I love about this interview is Summer gets really practical and shares her raw story.
And people like you and I can actually relate. And I think what really hit me is how encouraged I was that even today she still struggles, but she shares those tangible steps that she took and that she encourages you to take so that you can also come into the exceedingly abundantly more that God has for you.
So get ready my friend. Today's a doozy. You might even wanna grab a pen and paper or download this episode and listen to it again when you can take some notes And by the way, make sure you leave me a message. I wanna hear what you thought of it.
Leneé Pezzano: welcome everyone to the redeemed perfectionist community. If you have been following me for any bit of time,
[00:02:00] you know that the assignment God has me on right now is to minister to women who are trapped by perfectionism. So maybe you're that person who God has been nudging to take a step in a direction and you keep thinking, oh, I'll do it as soon as I'm ready.
And yet that time never comes because you get trapped in over analysis, what we call paralysis by analysis, fear, procrastination, pressure to perform. All the various ways perfectionism shows up. And so I thought it would be really good to bring on the Summer Dey to this conversation and go live because this is one you just don't wanna miss.
Summer Dey. Ugh. It is so good to have you. Now, I gotta just start with Summer, the fact that you have so many titles, right? You're a global faith influencer. You are a keynote speaker and an author, award-winning TV host and producer,
[00:03:00] public speaking trainer. That's how I actually met you and CEO of what I think is now called
Faith on fire and we're gonna get to that, I believe, right? Did I get the name right? Yes. Ministry is called Fear Into Faith Ministries. Okay. Our conference is called Faith On Fire On Fire, absolutely. And what people don't know, right? So these are all your titles. Probably miss some, you can help us understand more, but what people don't know about you, I also like to do puzzles.
And that be a title. She likes puzzles and she loves Jesus radically. And she loves the one if all she was ever assigned to was the one sheep. That is summer Dey. And I think it's important. Summer we don't share titles because we're bragging about the human. I wanna share those titles because there's a story behind them, and you have been through personal tragedy.
You have encountered
[00:04:00] twists and turns in your walk with the Lord that have challenged your faith and perfectionism has tried to rear its ugly head in your own life. And what I want the listeners to walk away with today is inspiration. That because you gave God your yes in spite of the challenges because you did not get, um, locked up in perfectionism.
He multiplied the seeds that you sowed, I mean, he's the one who gives the increase. And many, many, many in the kingdom are being impacted because of your Yes. So that my folks listening is what we wanna accomplish today and is the why behind why we do what we do online here, not just to toot our horns in some way.
Okay, so you carry all these titles, but where did it all begin for you? Like, share a little bit about who you are and like the work that God has called you in and, and your journey. Let's go there. Okay. We'll go there.
[00:05:00] I always like to say the first thing that I like to share to a new audience is I wanna answer the question that's really on your mind.
And we wanna get that outta the way, the elephant in the room, you might say. And that is, yes, summer day is my real name. Summer day, all day, every day. So that's that. Uh, how did I. I feel like, does anyone else feel like you, uh, your life has been a series of like many journeys? So my recent journey started in, in, uh, actually I was gonna say 2020, but probably 2019.
So the journey of that version of summer day, uh, happened. Uh, well, I, I showed up to an emergency board meeting and in 22 minutes, everything I worked for my whole life got stolen from me. Wow. So stolen from me by. People that I loved, that I trusted, I put them on as board of directors for the company that I had started and
[00:06:00] ran and, and ran with my husband for 12 years in Los Angeles, California.
It was my whole life. It was everything I thought I wanted to be. And in 22 minutes, boom, I'm staring in the faces of betrayal, having an out of body experience. You know, the kind where you're like, you're looking down on your life and you're like, this is not happening to me. So, that's what happened to me that evening.
And, uh, I remember getting in the car. I can't tell you how I drove home and experienced a lot of pain, a lot of trauma severe depression, just. It was like everything came upon me in that moment. I actually had two seizures that night. 'cause I think my brain couldn't function, literally couldn't, couldn't understand my new reality.
It was like, uh, everything that I, I thought I had wanted to be and had worked for was gone. And I didn't know how to be Summer Dey
[00:07:00] without all of those things that I, um, I directed a theater company. And so I thought my whole life I had this vision of like, I'm gonna be 94 years old with a cane, still directing people on stage.
And I used to my kids, I mean, my daughter was on stage at six weeks old. She played baby Jesus. And they were always in shows, all three of my girls, and we would be at rehearsal, you know, three to five days a week. So it was just, it was everything that I knew and then suddenly everything was gone. And I didn't know how to function, but I will tell you in my.
Forced surrender because it was definitely a forced surrender moment. Yeah. The only other thing I kind of thought that I had maybe wanted to do with my life was to be a speaker. 'Cause they say, and you could comment in the chat, you know, speaker or death they say that people would rather die than speak on public.
Yeah. I'm like, no way. I like how Jerry Seinfeld was like, more people would rather be in the casket than give the eulogy at a
[00:08:00] funeral. I'm like, is that really true? I don't know. Yeah. So I thought, well, maybe I should do that. But my, my, my big defining moment of like, my whole journey changed with a Facebook Live.
So when when COVID hit, I felt like the Lord told me to go Facebook live and to. Pray and read Psalms 91. Now this was when I, I didn't have any following. Had maybe 1500 Facebook friends. I had never prayed like on a Facebook Live at all. Never read scripture. I don't even really think I ever talked much about Jesus on Facebook Live.
And I remember throwing a tantrum and telling the Lord like, uh, no, I, my high school friends are gonna see me pray. I can't do that. And the Lord said, yes. Pray for 91 days. 91 days. Read Psalms 91 and Pray 91 days. And,
[00:09:00] um, it was crazy because do you know that the COVID lock-ins hit eight days after I started?
Wow. And I remember that first Facebook Live saying to people, I still don't, I don't really know why God wants me to do this. But he said, go live. He said, pray COVID hits. I kept going. I did 90 days in a row. On day, I think it's about 89, the riots hit. I was like, okay, well I can't stop praying now. So I actually went 108 days in a row of going Facebook Live.
And so for those of you who were deemed perfectionists, let me just tell you like I didn't want to go live. I didn't feel perfect. I felt like I don't know how to pray. I am not a prayer. Um, but I just said, okay, I know what happens when I disobey. The Lord does not ever go well for me. So I did it scared.
I did it petrified. I felt like an idiot. I did it on days when I had no makeup. I did it on days when I was cranky and tired. Um, 'cause he said I couldn't miss a day. And, and then after I did all that, I heard the
[00:10:00] Lord tell me to. I had finished reading the Bible cover to cover for the first time. Okay. I'm so proud of myself.
Yeah, that's a really big deal. The big deal. Two years. Big deal instead of one. But I was proud of myself that I did it. And I heard the Lord so clear. He was like, good job. But your goal was one year. So just do it again. Do it again. Hit your goal. And I was like, oh, you're funny. No, I don't know if God's humorous with you, but he's very humorous with me.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I said, Lord, that's a bucket list. Like, check. I did it once. My whole time is over. I, I never reading it again. And the Lord, I consistently pursued me for like two months. And finally I negotiated with God. And let me just tell you, I don't know if you've ever negotiated with God, but the joke's always on you.
I negotiated with God and said, okay, word, I'll do Facebook Live and I'll see if I can find five women that will read the Bible with me, and they can be my accountability partners, and then I'll do it. I bet
[00:11:00] he was laughing going, yeah, lemme know how that works out for you. Because I did a Facebook Live, and this is a part of my story that a lot of people know.
I did a Facebook Live and 20 women said yes right away, which was so cool, and they shared it with their friends. And then we had 200 women in a Facebook group on the first day to read the Bible with me, which is awesome. And then they shared it with their friends and it went kind of viral. So. Two and a half weeks later, I had 6,700 women in a Facebook group to read the Bible with me.
And if you wanna talk about like that perfectionist like freak out moment of like, all the ducks are not in a row. Hold on. First reverse, like, Lord, lemme give you a checklist of how I'm not worthy one, I'm not a pastor. Check, not a pastor's wife. Check. Oh, I was raised in the Mormon church till I was 13.
Uh, disqualified. And how about I've never been in a Bible study in my life. I don't even know what people do in a Bible study. How can we,
[00:12:00] 6,000 women being the Bible when I don't even do what you do. And I need a spreadsheet. Like I literally need a spreadsheet with all the names and how do I, yeah.
Uhuh. So I was freaked out. A lot of people are like, wow, that's amazing. I'm like, no. I was terrified. It was horrible. I called my best friend crying. I'm like, you're the best Christian. I know you have to do this. God screwed up. He meant to go to your house, not mine. And you know, God is so gentle. I think like the more we freak out, he like balances it out with gentle compass.
Totally, totally. He said, you know, I know you're not a pastor. I know you're not a pastor's wife, but what you are is a gather of people and you're an encourager. And so your only job, you don't have to interpret scripture. Your only job is to get the women to finish as many as you can, because most of them won't.
And I said, okay, Lord, I surrender. How do I do that? And uh, he said, tell 'em you're gonna have an event. Tell them at the end of the year they can fly from all over the world. And then come and you'll do a conference
[00:13:00] where at the end of the event, you'll read the end of Revelation out loud together so all the women could finish together and finish strong.
So that's how my first conference got birthed. Uh, we had a couple hundred women in the room about that many on Zoom. I became an accidental international bestselling author that year because when, and I mean it accidentally, I had no idea what I was doing once again, couldn't walk in perfectionism because I had all the women buy this book that told us what to read every day.
And it had journal questions. It was awesome until week five. It jumped to Matthew and the Lord was so clear it has to be cover to cover. So I was like, I'm really sorry you guys just spent money on this book, but we kind of basically need to put it off to the side. You gotta find another one that goes cover to cover.
And no one could find one. No one could find one that went cover to cover. So I was like, well, we'll write our own plan. Well, we'll write our own journal questions. And halfway through the year, uh, one of the ladies was like, I think you need to publish this.
[00:14:00] I'm like, oh my gosh, do you, how do you publish a book?
I don't know. I've never published one. And then the lady started going, yeah, when you publish it, then for year two we can do it with the book. And I'm like, what do you mean year two? So of course I published it. And then what do the women want next? Hey, my husband wants to do year two. Can you publish a men's journal?
Like call my pastor. Hey, could you help me with these questions and make 'em fit for men? And so we did year two with Men's Journal and, and then it was time for year three and they're like, when's the new journal coming out? Would you, I'm sorry, what do you mean the new journal? You're gonna make a new one, right?
We can't do the same questions. Oh my. Are you doing it again? Yes. And so we did a journal and that became an international, uh, bestseller. And then it was year four and it's a new journal, so we actually have five bestselling journals. Last year I came up with one of 'em in Spanish. I told them this year I'm not doing a new one.
Just go back to the one if you started. Because Lenae, I can't believe there are so many
[00:15:00] women that have actually done all five years and they stayed for five years. Wow. And so I wanna encourage you of those of you that are like in a situation with the Lord that maybe you feel uncomfortable because I am a perfectionist at heart.
Like I like everything in order, I like numbers, I like knowing the details. I am very spontaneous, but I also like, I wanna know all the things and I feel like the Lord used this entire experience to like ruin that out of me. Yeah. Of, no, you can't have plans, you can't have this and you can't have that.
Yeah. I thought what was gonna be a one year assignment with 6,700 women. The next year he is like, tell everyone it's 10,000. Okay. Then he goes, tell everyone it's a hundred thousand. What year? Four. Tell everyone it's a million. Like, okay. Then on your year five, he's like, by the way, stop spelling billion with an M.
Like, I'm sorry, what do you mean? He goes, I need you to tell everyone you're going to get a billion people to read the Bible. I'm like, oh, you want the whole world to think I'm crazy? That's good.
[00:16:00] Thanks for that one. And I used to cry every time I was about to tell somebody, oh yeah, we wanna get a billion people to read the Bible.
I'm like, what is that? But the Lord is always two steps ahead of you. If you're listening, write that down. The Lord is always at least two steps ahead of you. It's probably more like 2 million steps ahead of you. But he's been ahead of us every step of the way and I, I find the bigger the yes I give the Lord, the more terrifying it literally is to my flesh, the more he shows up and just knocks our socks off.
Because when he told me we had to reach a million, I was like I have like 9,000 followers. I don't know how to do that. What do you mean reach a million? I can't reach a million people. Well, a TV producer in Dallas heard about us and she got on a Zoom call with me and she's like, I heard you guys read the Bible Live every day.
And we had for three years. I said, yes ma'am. We read the bible aloud every day on Facebook and YouTube, and she was like, it has to be a TV show. And it was one of those I didn't have to
[00:17:00] pray. I saw the image, I saw people reading in front of a green screen. I saw all ages and I knew exactly how to do the TV show.
And so the Lord on your four, we produced the first of its kind visual telling of the whole Bible cover to cover. And so it's our reading plan like live, you know how there's good audio bibles? There's never been a full visual of the Bible that we know. Wow. So we had 27 different readers. Age eight to 88, uh, in front of a green screen.
And you see them read and then you see everything they're reading come to life. And so we've had, um, you know, moms have their kids that can't read yet watching it. This woman texted me that her husband's dyslexic and he is never really been able to read the Bible, but he has watched the TV show. And I just had somebody tell me yesterday, I'm having the best time ever.
I finished early 'cause we launched year six. Like what? We launched year six in like three weeks. So I'm going, I don't know what you're doing, Lord. And I'm honest. If I told you how many times I wanted to give up, it's at least a hundred times I've cried on my
[00:18:00] face couple days ago. I'm not doing your six.
I'm done. You what he did today. You saw what he did today. Oh, I'm done. I'm not gonna do your six. We're done, Lord. Five years is a great run. And then we found out our TV show reached 2.3 million viewers in 2025. It hadn't even been a whole year. So what am I gonna tell the lord? No. All right, Lord, I'll do your six.
Unbelievable. And so I don't even know, I have so many questions, but like, okay, wait, are you, weren't you living in an rv? Oh yeah, that's another part of the story. Okay. I could tell that part if you want. I usually tell people like, I'm just a girl who did one Facebook live and luck of the draw. I got 6,700 people that wanted to read the Bible with me.
And like almost everything in my five-year career now has all stemmed from that one moment. But it's not actually the full truth nne the full truth is that 14 months before all that happened, um, I was
[00:19:00] praying at church and I had always wanted to homeschool my kids in an RV for like three to six months.
I've had friends that have done that, you know, take 'em to the East coast, so show them George Washington's, uh, house, like a real good US education by going there. And I thought it would be the best mom ever if I did it. And. When I was at church praying the Lord once again, he giggled at me. 'cause we like to laugh at each other.
And he giggles at me and he is like, you're so cute. That's not what we're doing here. I'm like, what do you mean? He goes, I'm sending your whole family into ministry. Your whole family will lead people to the Lord and you have to sell everything. Pick up your mat and walk. Have no roots, no timeframe, and no destination.
Which meant I already knew we were leaving August 1st, 2020. He's telling me this May of 2019. So if you put COVID in the middle of that, you know where I'm going. Right? So he's telling me like, you're not gonna have destination per se. You're just gonna get an the RV and go, I'm not telling you how long you're gonna be going and just have no roots.
[00:20:00] So you could just be that way forever. So I didn't know if I would live in an RV forever and I walked in blind obedience. We did our first YouTube live, like telling everyone we're leaving in one year. We did it on August 1st, 2019. This is what we're doing. This is what the Lord has for us. And when COVID hit, talk about every reason to be like, I don't have all the details.
I can't go. My husband lost his job, which was the income we were gonna travel on. They had stole my company. Like all of these things that all happen, we're like, we don't have an rv, we don't have money now for an rv. I don't know where we're gonna get an rv. But God provided every step of the way. We couldn't even have garage sales to get rid of our stuff because when COVID hit, you couldn't have a garage sale.
So I'm like doing Facebook Lives going, please buy this from me, know what to do. But I was just like, the Lord was very clear. I have to sell all of my stuff and be prepared to leave August 1st. So, that's the big yes that I said. So it really wasn't just like one Facebook
[00:21:00] Live. It was radical, crazy obedience.
Sell everything, leave everything behind. Um, yeah, and we traveled for three years. How has this changed your like relationship with the Lord? Right. Because like all the perfectionism is really rooted in fear and control and, and even forms of pride that say, I know better if I just do this my way. And I tell people all the time, that's another gospel.
I mean, that is like when you think about true grace that it did for us what we can't do for ourselves. And then you go to the Book of Galatians and you see how he is talking to a people who somehow walked away from that very concept in reality and started to try to perfect themselves. He calls it another gospel.
And I just remember when the Lord began to reveal that to me, I was just like, whoa, that is not where my heart wanted to be. And I know that our listeners don't wanna be there either. But then there's that gap between their
[00:22:00] heart and then. Their reality being trapped in perfectionism. And so love, it's that perfect love that comes and casts out fear because fear carries with it punishment and torment.
Right. And so for me it was just God revealing his true definition of grace and his true heart to me. Matter of fact, at first I thought it was a counterfeit because I thought it was too soft because I was waiting for punishment. Yeah. Like, you better do this. And, and in our mind we wanna obey, but we're doing it from a place of fear that and, and separate from him in our own strength because we believe we have to go clean ourself up, do everything just right, and then he'll accept us.
Yeah. And so that's the, that's the counterfeit. And so how has your relationship changed with him as you have continued to give your Yes. And, and like. How do you still struggle with perfectionism if you do? Yeah. Every day. I feel like it's a constant, like you have
[00:23:00] to make a decision. You have to make a decision.
So our ministry is called fear into faith for a reason. The Lord actually mentions fear in the Bible over 600 times. They say it's feared directly. Three hundred twenty, three hundred and sixty five. 65. Yeah. One for every day, right? Yeah. But when you add in like it's fear, doubt, worry or tremble, it's over 600 times.
And he's never quiet about it. Like he's not like, Hey, he might be a good idea for you not to fear. He's like, do not fear. Be strong and courageous. Yeah. So I've realized that like fear was a really big deal and I think fear is the constant daily battle of the believer. Yeah. And you, you have one throne, like imagine you have one throne on your heart and it's either gonna be fear or faith that's gonna at that time.
So you have to decide like. Courageous people feel fear and they just do it anyway. Yes. You don't allow it to sit on that throne. They're like, Hey, you get off. And they walk in faith. And if anything that you've heard from me, if you're like,
[00:24:00] wow, I wanna be a bestselling author. Wow. I wanna live in rv, it's just write this down.
Just say yes to God quicker. Yeah. And I feel like another part of like, what's happened with me it's just always in phases. It's always in stages. It's always what you can handle. If he had told me, you're gonna lead a billion people to read the Bible on day one, I wouldn't have done it. I would've been like, oh no.
So good. But he, he leads you as far as you'll allow him to stretch you. And so just understand that it's totally normal. It will never go away. Yeah. And you just make the decision to do it anyway. Yeah. Yeah. You make the decision to step out in radical faith and you make the decision to, to be used by the Lord.
I asked for it. Yeah. And one of the other things that I did that I didn't realize when. When I officially became a minister, when I started walking in miracle signs and wonders and people were getting healed or delivered or people could sleep in the spirit. It's like the craziest thing. I pray for someone, they fall on the ground.
[00:25:00] I'm still like, whoa, that's so strange. Of course I poke face it very well, but inside of going, it's not like I'm walking in confidence all the time, but I just will do it. You know? The Lord knows that I will do it. He knows that if somebody comes up and they're like, I wanna encounter God, that I have no doubt in my mind that the Lord has chosen me in that moment, and I just get to obey.
Yeah, and to say yes to God quicker. And this is what I learned from my spiritual mom. She's 85, she's preached, prayed, prophesied, healed the sick, raise the dead call down reign in Africa, like every miracle you can think of for 50 years. She's like the modern Katherine Coleman. In fact, she was healed of tuberculosis by Katherine Coleman in the seventies.
So. When, when I got to be used from the Lord the most radical thing the Lord has used me for thus far is getting to heal a 12-year-old girl of seizures in Africa. Mm. Actually gave me a word of knowledge. I wrote down seizure. And then next thing I know, this mom's talking about her little girl who keeps violently flinging herself to the ground all the time.
[00:26:00] Hmm. I'm like husband, doesn't that sound like re I just wrote this down. And from that moment on, it was absolutely three hours of being petrified of like, I'm supposed to pray for this little girl. Yeah. And I'm telling you, I took everything in me to stand as bold as I could in front of 300 people and go.
The Lord has sent a woman from America who they didn't know, but I was healed of seizures that year. I said, he sent a woman who was healed of seizures this year to your church to lay hands on your daughter, and the Lord was gonna heal her today. Inside I am like, shut your mouth. What are you doing?
This is a new church. When that little girl isn't healed, the whole church will disband, right? It will destroy the church. Their faith is on the line. You're gonna have to stand before the Lord and answer for this. But on the outside I'm like, bring your daughter. And when I go back, I talked to my spiritual mom and I said, mama, please, you gotta tell me like, when will that stop?
Like when does that go away? When will
[00:27:00] I be able to just be fully confident and not freaking out at what is happening? And she said, oh sweetie, I still feel that way all the time. I'm like, wait, what do you mean? She goes, that's like my radar. If I feel that, if I hear that, I know I'm on the right track with the Lord.
Come on. And I just don't ignore, I just ignore that voice and keep going. I said, so. If after 50 years you still feel that way, then I can just accept that like I will quite possibly never just stand in full confidence. Yeah. But the Lord is just looking for a willing vessel. Yes. Reading up on all of these ministers of the past, you know, Katherine Coleman killed countless people outta wheelchairs.
There was also people in wheelchairs. She didn't heal. That's right. The Lord just is looking for, are you willing to boldly stand and pray for someone in a wheelchair knowing they might not get healed? I'm like, that's right. Go's right. If I pray for 1,001, I go after the one that gets healed. Come on, Jesus.
That's right. Most people, they will not sit around for 999 notes.
[00:28:00] It is, you know, I, I have been saying this repetitively without faith, it's impossible to please God. And faith is not a feeling. He says that he knows we love him by our obedience. He measures faith by our actions, not our feelings.
Yeah. I mean, Paul talks about being, uh, full of tremblings and fears within and doubts within, and yet they did it anyway. Because courage isn't the absence of fear. Like you said, it's doing it in spite of how you feel. Yes. But one thing I I, so you illustrated this so well in that he doesn't give you, he gives you what you can handle that's gonna stretch you just beyond, and then you prove yourself there, he'll give you more.
And then he continues to do that. And I think of the scripture, I think it's in Zephaniah. He doesn't despise small beginnings. Yeah. Like he loves to see the work
[00:29:00] begin. Yeah. And you think about that he uses the mustard seed as an illustration of faith that can move a mountain. And it's like, okay, so we're back to action and I only need a tiny bit of action.
And I take that step and then I do it again tomorrow, and I do it again the next day. And then I do it again the next day. And before you know it, every time you take that step, you are giving him permission to anoint you even more, to bring more power out of you. And that mountain becomes an anthill eventually.
Mm-hmm. Right. That is just so powerful to me. I love it. No, I, I, uh, I agree. So I'll touch base on one more thing. I was like, also you have not kissed, you ask not. So I also did two radical things that at the time I didn't realize were radical. I started, I, lemme backtrack. I went to Israel and it was like such an incredible experience.
[00:30:00] It's actually when the Lord said August 1st, 2020. So I knew when I went to Israel that that's when I would leave and I got to go in the Jordan River and I did a mikvah. If you read in the Bible, that's like the, the kind of well-known one is the guy who had leprosy and that he was told to go immerse himself seven times in the Jordan River.
And then he was healed. And um, a lot of people were getting baptized. But I just went to a spot alone with the Lord. And the message I'd got from the Lord is like, why'd you send me to Israel and what is it you want from me? And he said, just you, just, you. So I was bawling my eyes out in the Jordan River and I was like, okay, Lord, I give you everything.
I give you my life. Boom, under, I give you my marriage under, I give you my children, I give you this, uh, I gave you my womb. And at the time I remember so many people were always like, oh, are you guys gonna have another one? I'm like, well, I gave my womb to the Lord, so let's see what he does with it. And believe it or not, right after that, I had all these issues in my womb and they thought I had uterine cancer.
And I never was upset. I was like, well, I gave my womb to the Lord, so if he wants to put cancer in there, let's see what he wants to do with it. Yeah. Um, it turned out that
[00:31:00] I didn't, but there was so much peace and surrender and so I was like, I want that for my whole. So I started praying every day, Lord, I give you my whole life.
I give you this day, it's yours. Yes. You lead me, you guide me, you walk beside me. And eventually I started saying, I wanna be your hands and your feet and your voice to your people. Lord, I wanna speak and I want people to know that it's you and not me. Like just, I wanna be your voice, so use me. So I started praying that every day and then eventually the Lord was like, cool.
So like when are you gonna do something about that? I'm like, what do you mean? He's like, go pray for my people. I'm like, so like get up and go to the grocery store. He's like, what are you doing right now? I'm like scrolling on Facebook. He goes, pray for my people. And I realized there's so many prayer requests on Facebook.
People are like, Hey, pray for my dad. He just got cancer. Pray for my son. This. People always put praying, praying, praying. And I was like, that's not enough. So I went into Facebook Messenger and I just hit record and I said, Hey, the Lord told me just to pray for you. Yeah. And I
[00:32:00] would just pray for them right now.
And I started a thing called my prayer Blitz. So I would set a 15 minute timer. I'd go on Facebook and I'd go in groups, prayer groups everywhere. And I'd see how many people I could pray for before the timer was up. And it was usually like five to 10. Hmm. I didn't realize until after I'd been doing that for over a year that I had actually prayed for over a thousand people come on.
And so when people are like, oh, well I'm nervous. I don't know how to pray. I'm like, well, just start praying for strangers. And some people I don't even know if they've still gotten the message ever. Uh, some people didn't get it for six months, but they were like, oh my gosh, that's exactly what I needed today.
That's one of the things I did. You wanna be used by the Lord? Just go be used by the Lord. And yeah. Every time I'm willing to do more, I'm willing to like go, okay, I'll lay hands on a girl and declare she's healed in Jesus' name or whatever I do. He just can trust you with more. Yes. And then he can trust you with more and then he can trust you with more.
So if you want to step out of that
[00:33:00] bubble of feeling like perfectionism is gonna destroy you, give God your yes quicker. Yeah. And be okay to do it messy. And do it his way. And his way might look crazy and it might look messy, but I promise you, the more that you do it, the more that spirit of perfectionism.
'cause there's good and bad sides to it, right? It's not gonna have Its say Yeah. But if you every day make that decision. Okay, Lord, here I am. Send me, yeah, watch him send you and watch what he does. You just have to say yes and hang on for the ride. That's right. That's right. You have to starve the, the part of your nature that is trying to dominate.
That's not yet dominated by the Lord. And you have to decrease and he has to increase. And you can only do that by starting to feed faith instead of fear. Uh mm-hmm. Oh my gosh. So I don't know what's been one of the most humbling, I mean, maybe it's the 2.3 million all
[00:34:00] inspiring moments that you have.
I mean, that, that was pretty huge today. Yeah. Um, getting into the TV show is really supernaturally radical. So we actually did three TV shows. Mm. So I have a book called A Year of Miracles and there's 52 Stories of Miracle Signs and Wonders. And so I told them the TV show would be seven days a week.
'cause we do the Bible Challenge Monday through Saturday. Mm-hmm. And then I wanted them to air the stories of the people in the journal 'cause I'm so inspired by Miracle Stories. And so I interviewed 52 people on their miracle stories. And then the 127 readers that came in we, we had to figure out how could you make a, they do it in like 28 minutes, not quite 30.
So there's commercials, but how could you do that with the Bible? They were like, well have somebody read Genesis and when they hit 28 minutes, just stalk them and then the next person starts there. And I'm like, that is not gonna work. 'cause you and I can read the same thing, it's gonna go different lengths.
So the Lord gave me a vision.
[00:35:00] To interview the people. So we did a separate 30 minute full TV interview of the 127 people, and then we peppered in. So if that person read for 18 minutes, we peppered in some of their interview to make the complete 30 minute show. Yeah. Now on our app, you can just watch just the straight Bible stuff if you want, or on our YouTube if you want.
But when you're watching it on tv, they had to fit it in the time slot. So with the 127 and the 52 and the 312 episodes of the Bible we did like, well beyond 10 years of tv, I don't know if we can math. I'm trying to remember. 3 12, 1 27 plus 52. So we're like, what is that, like 500, close to 500 episodes?
And if you think about that I think Seinfeld like did like 10 years, they did like 200 episodes or something. Wow. Two 500 episodes of TB in one year. And it was only done by three people, father, son, and Holy Spirit. Like there was,
[00:36:00] there was no way that we could have accomplished what we did. We won the TV award that first year for best in faith and inspiration category.
We wanted, again, this last year that really I didn't even tell people to vote. I didn't even post on Facebook. I didn't even tell my own mom, mom vote for awards. When they presented that to me, I was speechless. I bawled. I was like, wait, what do you mean I won? I, huh? Like, I was so confused. I couldn't even walk up to the podium at first.
Yeah. Yeah. I feel like, the TV shows has been a crazy thing. And then, yeah, finding out this morning I would've been excited if you told me 200,000 people had viewed it this year. Yeah. Like, that would've floored me. I'd be happy it was 50. But to find out like 2.3 million people. Of course, I love the random text message, Facebook message, email of somebody saying things like, Hey, I'm actually on your five with you.
Um, hey, I just finished.
[00:37:00] Um, this is what changed. Hey, you don't know me at all. But my mom had died when the Bible Challenge started. And without this group, like, I don't know if I could have got through the year, you know, just story after story of, of people's lives being transformed. And I love that God has made our ministry just really easy.
Yeah, we're non-denominational. We're online ministry. We're not connected with any church. I don't have to follow anybody else's rules, but the Lord. And we, our ministry is just read the Bible for yourself, the whole thing. Page one to page 1200 and something cover to cover. If it takes you more than a year, that's okay.
Try to do it in a year. I didn't the first time, but I promise you just read the word of God and let him show himself to you. Yep, that's right. I'm not here to to interpret scripture or condemn anyone or tell you what version of the Bible it has to be or any of that 'cause that gets into legalism. I just know God wants to encounter you.
Yeah. And I feel like all I want now Lynette, is I just, I want people to encounter God.
[00:38:00] You who? I really want to encounter God. The people that go to church every Sunday. Yeah. That box that I didn't know exists, but they go to church and they don't actually really know God and they're not reading the word.
The pastors never told them. The pastors never led them to read the Bible in a year. There are millions of people sitting in church every Sunday that have really actually not encountered God. Yeah, yeah. They've never fallen to their knees bawling because the weight of the Holy Spirit's glory is overwhelming for Yeah.
And that's what I want. I love that. And I love your heart. I am gonna share what I think might be a nudge in my own spirit for you from the Lord. I could be wrong and that's okay, but if I'm right, then it's noted here on camera, let's go. But I almost wonder if your, and we gotta hear the story of how you just ended up on another TV show.
We'll hear that in a second. But I wonder if he's not taking you into the realms of movie stars and actresses and
[00:39:00] actors, um, because that whole scene needs people like you. So just be open and just be praying about that. But tell us the story. Well, I, I do wanna say really quick 'cause we've been talking about the Bible Challenge.
So our ministry is fear into faith. If you go to fear into faith.com, you can join us and I really believe with my whole heart, if you're watching this. You have not read the entire Bible. You have been commissioned by the Lord to do so. If you are watching this and you started with us in year one and you're like, oh gosh, I haven't seen your face in five years.
I hope you're convicted right now in the name of Jesus. I really believe if you're watching this, that the Lord wants to know you. He wants some time with you, and he wants you to be in His Word. And so if you go to fear into faith.com, you can click to join the Bible challenge. We're starting and launching year six on September 22nd.
And you guys, there's literally a 30 100-year-old prophecy about the Bible in
[00:40:00] the Bible, about that date. Ooh, I'm frozen. And why it's so important. Maybe I'll ask. There I go. And so, we just know that God's gonna move. We want you to be there. It's so funny, I haven't frozen this whole time until I'm telling you to join.
So you join 'cause some of it doesn't want you to and doesn't want me to talk about it anymore. Yep. Yeah, so we can talk about perfectionism and, and surrender. We had a location for our yearly conference, not just once, not just twice, but literally three different times it fell through. Am I the third one?
I'm just, I'm having like imposter syndrome. I'm feeling like people are messaging me every day, like it's still gonna be in Dallas, right? And I'm like, I promise you there will be a conference in Dallas. I just don't know where yet. And oh my word. Every day I was like journaling with the Lord. So when I know that I'm struggling, I'll start my morning by journaling and I'm like, Lord, you gotta take this away, Lord.
Help me to not be emotional about this. Help me to be surrendered. That's why I tell you guys, it's a daily crushing of self. It's a daily
[00:41:00] dying of self. But because. We didn't have space. I started reaching out to churches and there's a guy named Pastor Jay with a church five minutes from my house. And I reached out to him.
I went to his church to look at the facility and while we were there, he just so happened to mention that the next week they were filming a movie called Walking on Water that he is an executive producer on. And he is one of the pastors that's featured in it. It's a documentary that follows, I think it's like eight or nine pastors.
And, um, it's got all these miracles and signs and wonders and they were looking for extras and they, they said they were gonna film it where the chosen was. So I was like, wow. Yes. Actually I don't have anything on my calendar that day while our whole family will go, we will move tables, throw out trash.
My husband can help with text stuff, you know, whatever you need from us, just let us know. And then they were looking for an actor for Lazarus, raising Lazarus from the dead. And they were looking for an actress for women with issue of blood. And my husband was like, why don't you use my
[00:42:00] wife? The pastor didn't know I had been an actress since I was like three years old, and I have not acted in six years.
Why? Because I ran a theater company and it was stolen from me. And so talk about redemption. I hadn't acted in six years. Come on. I get a call from the director two years, two days later. I didn't audition, didn't try out, they hadn't even seen me. They didn't even know if I would be any good, and they offered me the role and I kept waiting for them to take it away.
I even thought, I'm gonna show up and they're gonna have somebody else. There's no way this is, and they're like, okay, you're woman with a shoe of blood. Let's get you this costume. And Lyne. I didn't know it was not just filmed on the lot of the chosen that they were filming it on the set of the chosen with the chosen costumes.
It was literally one of the greatest days of my life. I just got to live in that world. We got to jokingly play, play like we, we were making behind the scenes videos with my husband. And I saw, I saw, um, oh, all the videos you saw, you haven't even seen the craziest
[00:43:00] ones, I'm sure, in Matthew's tax collector booth.
And he was asking people for their taxes. And it was magical. It was special. And I prayed, you know, Lord, sometimes when I get to prayer or prophesy over people, I don't remember, and people will say, remember when you prayed this and I got healed and this happened? I'm like, Nope, I have no clue. And that's when I usually know it's the Lord and not me.
So I prayed that morning, I was like, Lord, I just, I've never acted where I felt like the Holy Spirit had taken over. Mm. I want you to do that. I want the Holy Spirit to take over. I want this project to be yours. I just wanna be used by you, Lord. And it did. There was this beautiful moment. I filmed a bunch of scenes before I actually got to Jesus being at his feet, touching the hem of his garment.
And I'm so grateful I never met the actor until we were acting. It was like acting. I also didn't know that the director had told all of them he was gonna cut as soon as I grabbed the hem, but that's not what ended up happening. The guy playing
[00:44:00] Jesus, I mean, he like took my hand and started to lift me up.
And when we made eye contact, it was just a Holy Spirit takeover. And I just started bawling. I know with the first take, he's like, why? Why are you, why are you sad daughter or something? He said something to me, I responded, and then I just leaned at him and I hugged him and I heaped sobs on Jesus's shoulder, just overwhelmed by the presence of God.
And we did so many takes, and every time I just felt like it wasn't really acting, it just, I got to embody this woman and I had so much compassion for her. And then just to be there and to really be like. She touched his Garmin and he healed her. So it was really powerful. And I, I didn't know the actor was an actor on the Chosen, it's been on all six seasons.
And, and then, um, later on they did the raising of Lazareth and the lady playing Martha is also a cast member on the Chosen, and they picked my daughter to be married. So she got to
[00:45:00] like cry at the raising of Lazarus. And there she's, she's got tears streaming on her face. I don't even know if she was like that.
I knew she was good, but not that good. Then they cut and then they do the take again and she just boom right back in. It tears streaming on her face. So that was special. So they're using our scenes to it's gonna be B roll. They said that there's not gonna be the dialogue. It's gonna be like you'll hear about Jesus' miracles and there'll be like, flashback kind of things.
Um, it's the guy's 11th documentary and they're working on getting it into the, the movie houses. So I've actually never been in a movie that would be on the big screen, so I am so, I'm just so honored to know you and it's just the heart and the obedience. I resonate so much. Be there are people who think radical people like us are crazy, right?
Oh, I'm totally crazy. Yeah. But it's like if you don't, I remember a mentor of mine once said, if you don't climb out onto the limb to pick the
[00:46:00] fruit, you don't get the fruit. Like you gotta go out there, you gotta take the risk and. You know, your, your testimony speaks so much to me of Ephesians three 20 where he can do exceedingly, abundantly more than we could ask or imagine.
You could never have asked or imagined all the things. And even though it's all for his sake and it's all for his glory, he lets you share in that glory. And it, it's the sweetest thing. He gives good gifts to his children. It's just so amazing. It's so amazing. Amen. Amen. Yeah. So that whole movie thing happened because we lost our space and I feel like the Lord Wow was testing me on my obedience to surrender and not hold onto perfectionism when I'm like, yeah.
People need to know what airport to fly into, please. Jesus. Like it's a month away. I need the space. Yeah, yeah. But we ended up with an amazing church space and a great hotel and like all the details now are just,
[00:47:00] flooding in. And that director already has another, um, movie that he's gonna get started on and he was already talking about doing more stuff together.
He does two to three films a year. So we, um, we really hope that it's a good lasting relationship. And I had the time of my life, I, I'm all in. So if anyone seen a movie and they need someone who looks like this, you just let me know. 'cause I Yeah, for sure. I think about Priscilla Shire. Yeah.
Knew her name and then she was in war room and now she speaks all over. She preaches all over. And I, I'm just, I. I'm like, yes, Lord, let's do that. Yeah. I just wanna preach to millions of people about Jesus. I wanna lay hands on people. Yeah. I want people to encounter the Lord. I want people to get set free and delivered and healed.
And I want people to encounter God so much that they can't put 'em in a box anymore. Yes, that's right. I put him in a box for a long time. I have two friends, not just one, two, he outta wheelchairs and I still was putting God in a box. I was a terrified, somebody might know on
[00:48:00] Facebook that I just believe in these crazy miracles, and now I'm like, oh, I just ripped it all off.
Yeah. I can't believe I teach people to be speakers and tell them to be authentic. And there was a part of me that was so terrified to be authentic. And now I'm like, I just, I know who I am and I know what I want. It's okay. I love you. If it doesn't align with your beliefs or anything, yeah, you do. You, but I'm gonna do me and I'm not putting Jesus in a box anymore.
He, that's right. Still raises the dead. He still heals cancer's. He's still That's right. Heals people of, of all the different things and does crazy stuff. That's right. I've seen that's way too many crazy things now to not wanna just stand on a hill, blow a trumpet and just be like, Lord, let's go encounter your people.
And the church model is broken. Yep. Leaving the church in droves. Yeah. And we've gotta change it. Yeah. Gotta change. And we can't be afraid. We get into this whole humility conversation within the body of Christ and it leads to what I, what many of us call a false humility. Right? Like, oh, like I can't,
[00:49:00] I can't do that.
Listen. Here's what I would say, it takes just as much humility to acknowledge who God has made you and owning that in the authority, in the faith of him. It's not in your own strength, but you better believe. As I learn who he's called me to be, the enemy is going to have to understand that. I mean business that I choose by faith in what God's already done for me and by the authority I carry as a daughter of the king.
I'm not putting up with you Satan, and he's got, I'm not gonna cower back and say, oh, I'm not gonna, claim that because it wouldn't be, it would be prideful, So good. Uh, I have a confirmation for that. There's a spirit, a false Humility. Yeah. And I was having a lady pray for me, and I instantly had a vision of myself standing on a large stage speaking to tens of thousands of people.
And I was like, I need to tell her that vision. And I heard this voice say, don't you dare tell her that this woman's like very
[00:50:00] prophetic, and she's gonna tell you that that's not real. It's never gonna happen. And all these things you did not tell her. But before I could finish, she, she got outta her chair, she moved closer to me and she just stared me down, dead in the eye.
And she's like, spirit of false humility, you get to go take the mask off her right now. And then she's like, what did you see? And I told her, and she's like, I saw that too. And I saw that in this moment that I had false humility. I. Didn't want to say that to her because I didn't wanna sound egotistical or Yep.
This is what I wanna do. And the word really broke that off of me. Yeah. 'cause it is not my ambition. Right. I never was a five-year-old going, I can't wait to grow up and be a preacher and lay hands on millions of people. And I never once was gonna be a minister. All of this is totally the Lord. Yeah. And I'm getting in his way when I will not boldly say I wanna go preach to the millions.
I wanna stand on stages in front of 40,000 people and I wanna have them all encounter the Lord. So I just wanna pray right now, rna, anybody
[00:51:00] watching or listening to this, I just wanna pray and bin that spirit of false humility off of you. Yeah. If you are walking in that there is a balance and it is not pride and ego for you to share the goodness of the Lord and the things that he has wanted to do.
It's like Lanai said. Revelations talks about how people are one by the word of our testimony, but if we are so afraid to share of our accomplishments or our gifts or our titles, I mean, I used to hate anyone saying titles about me. Yeah, I was afraid I didn't want anyone. I didn't even wanna share that.
Then I'd made a million dollars when I became a seven figure earner. I didn't want anyone to know. I was like, no, I just wanna stay over here and be humble. But I realized the Lord wants to use the title for his glory. He wants to use it for favor to open doors, to get on a movie set to whatever, and I'm getting in his way.
So if that is you, I just break that false humility off of you in the name of Jesus, and I replace it with boldness and confidence. Encouraged to know that it's actually not about you. Yeah. And if anyone has tried to make you feel like it is about
[00:52:00] you, I break that in the name of Jesus and I just declare the true humility of the Lord to be used, to be bold, to be confident, to be courageous.
Yeah. That is what is like that's really going the distance for the Lord. Yeah. Yeah. Being welcome to say. I'm gonna get a billion people to read the Bible, and I don't care if you think I'm crazy, so yeah, no matter what it is for you, dear daughter, dear son, I give you permission to crush that false humility to stand on a mountaintop and scream what Jesus has put in your heart, because he is the one that gives you the desires of your heart.
Yep, yep. And I know I can hear the religious spirit even saying, but scripture says, let another man brag about you and not your own lips. But see, you have to discern the heart and motive and spirit behind what's being shared. And I believe that we are right now in a season where the word of our testimony is needed so much because there are so many people who have been oppressed by the religious spirit, by Jezebel.
[00:53:00]Their voices have been shackled out of shame and fear and rejection and all the things. And they need to see people starting to take, or who have taken that step of faith and are busting through and are bringing down the mountains. Right? It's, and so there is a balance in all that. I get it. But I'll tell you what, he, I, the first week that I started live on my podcast and, and those who know I launched the Redeemed Perfectionist podcast, the attacks began to come and he just kept saying, Matthew 10, I think it's 27 and eight, somewhere in there.
Are you gonna share what I've given you in secret? You're gonna bring it to the light. Are you gonna follow me? No matter who comes against you? Are you going to not worry about the fear of man? And I was like, yep, yep, I am. And Lord, and I used to be so afraid. You just, you even helped break stuff off me.
Summer, I used to be so afraid. I had one lady say,
[00:54:00] are you afraid of the power that's in you? And I was like, um, yeah, I totally am. Because my biggest concern was I would mess up and I would hurt somebody. I would hurt somebody because I made a mistake and gave them a, a word that wasn't from the Lord and my flesh would get mixed with it.
I was so afraid of, uh, rejection and just, I just have been, ever since I've been given God my yeses I'm overcoming that and I'm like. I'm gonna die to myself for the sake of the one, and I'm gonna die to myself for the sake of the kingdom. And if I mess up, then I will have learned and those other people will be given a chance to forgive.
Like God is good and he can, you know, make lemonade outta lemons, right? Yeah. So, yeah. Well I always tell people when they're starting to like walk tap into prophetic gifts and stuff like that, and they walk in that fear of like, I don't wanna mess anything up. I don't wanna
[00:55:00] hurt anyone. You know? Uh, it's one Corinthians that talks about that kind of stuff and it talks about is it edifying encouraging and building the person up.
Yeah. And so I always tell people you don't have to be afraid at all to say, Hey, I think I hear this from the Lord. Yeah. Just check and balance yourself. Are you edifying encouraging building that person up, then go fight when and what if you're wrong? Yeah. It's just you encouraging and edifying and building them up.
I think God's gonna be okay with that. And so I give y'all permission to just go boldly be wrong, and not walk and be in fear of that. God wants to speak to us through creation. And creation is his people. Yeah. Yes. Oh my gosh, girl, we could just preach. I feel like we could team preach for so much. I could speak for three days.
Hey. Yeah. Which, if you wanna see me speak for three days, join us at Faith on Fire. Let's talk about it. Let's talk about it. Tell us more about this conference. Yeah, so this is our Bible challenge end of the year five. And I'd say probably 25% of
[00:56:00] people who attend, they've been doing the Bible challenge with us.
And about 75% of people, you know, are people with been before or word of mouth or they saw an ad or they got an email or whatever. So, uh, basically it's exactly what it says. Faith on fire. If you're in a place where you've been feeling, you know, dry or you are just hungry for a radical encounter with the Lord, uh, if you need to be set, breathe, delivered, healed, any of those things, that's what happens on faith.
On Fire. It is three days. Of Faith on Fire. It's a conference like you have never been to before, like anything you've ever seen. We kind of birthed and, and bridge the gap between faith conferences and business conferences and found what was missing in both of them. And what God's created is just, it's phenomenal.
And I, I've had a preacher, a, a fifth generation preacher of 35 years. Telling all the spiritual generals, you gotta go check out fear into faith because what they're doing, I've never seen before. I have another pastor of 55 years whose dad had the largest
[00:57:00] congregation in the United States has stood on our stage and, and he came to the first three events and didn't even preach.
He just came to soak up and receive. And he said, I've, I'll keep coming back 'cause I've never seen anything like what happens in, in, in the, in this room. Yeah. And so I just wanna encourage you to get there. It's September 18th through the 20th in Dallas, Texas. Crawl through the desert to get there in person.
If you can, if for some reason you cannot then join us virtual, but block your calendar off. I'm gonna tell you right now, God is gonna set free, deliver, heal people at, in, in an increased amount and rate for virtual this year. Um, but I'll tell you, it's always more radically in the room. So it's faith on fire live.com.
If you go to faith on fire live.com, go check that out. And then I told Lyne that we wanna honor her for having me here and people listening, if you do redeemed 50 as your
[00:58:00] discount code, when you're checking out redeemed 50, it'll take $50 off in person or virtual. So you got no excuses bring a friend or 10, bring your family.
Uh, if you have never radically encountered God to where you cannot stand in the glory of the Lord and you want to, I can guarantee you that will happen at this conference if you suffer from PTSD. The Lord has shown me that he wants to radically set people free from PTSD. And because of that, he gave me a vision.
I saw a hundred first responders, and so we actually are offering free, completely free tickets, two tickets to anyone who's a first responder. First responders for us is, you know, police, fire, paramedic, um, also military and veterans. So either current or, or former. If that is you, I believe that the Lord wants you in this room more than you can imagine, and that there's deep healing for you that you probably know you need.
[00:59:00] And he is gonna radically heal First responders. He gave us the vision of like, on an airplane, you gotta put your mask on first. That's what they say, first responders. You gotta put your mask on. And some of you, you've been, you've been so, so JustGiving and diligent in your course of action and calling that Lord has given you, but he wants to refresh you and replenish you at Fahan fire.
So get there. Ugh. I cannot wait. Uh, I ha I wish I could be there in person. I know I will be there online. But what's, tell us like your, one of your favorite testimonies of an online experience. Oh, I'll tell you the best one. So, um, I used to walk in fear of man. And so I never wanted I, two years ago, I would not talk like this, Lyle on, on your podcast.
I remember. So I didn't want anybody to know that I laid hands on people, that people got healed, that people fell down or that people were delivered or that they were like any of those. I didn't want anyone to know that. So we actually used to not let virtual people
[01:00:00] be on at the evening sessions.
'cause that's when a lot of the miracles would break out. And about a year and a half ago, the Lord was very clear with me and he said, stop cutting me off. I want to move and stop turning off the virtual. So I had told my whole team in advance that we were gonna leave virtual on, and then that night. We were running behind and I almost didn't do my last session and I almost didn't do this.
And then I told my team, okay, we're, we're gonna run late. That's just how it is. And I don't care if we hit midnight, and I don't care if the hotel owner comes in and says, you have to shut this down. Do not under any circumstances turn off virtual. God told me he's gonna move. Don't turn it off. I don't care what happens unless I tell you to.
No one can shut this off. And I didn't know right away. But this guy, he shared his testimony virtually like five months later. His name was Coach Paul and I had hired a team to help run the virtual. So we knew each other through a Mu Mutual friend, but what I didn't know is that he was skeptical
[01:01:00] about Miracle Signs and Wonders.
He didn't really think those things were real, but he said on the first night, I came off the stage and they left my microphone off. Uh, they left my microphone on and I was praying for a woman to be healed of PTSD. And he said, he thought, well, what do I have to lose? He stood up alone in his room, he put his arms out and he had had severe PTSD for over 30 years from being a volunteer medic in the Oklahoma City bombings.
Come on. And so he had s really suffered for 30 years, and he said he just felt the presence of God fall upon him. He just started speaking, crying out to the Lord, and he felt when the PTSD had left and he shared five months later that he was just totally, completely delivered of PTSD. Completely different.
He had seasons where he couldn't even drive all of these things. So from completely skeptic, totally separate and delivered the first time that the Lord told me to leave on virtual. And so after that, we've just had more and more virtual stuff. We had revival breakout at the end of my speaker conference in June.
[01:02:00] And what he did on virtual was nuts. So when I hit the stage in a couple of weeks, I'm gonna share that story and say, the Lord said he is starting here. Come on. So if you attend virtually, I'm gonna tell you right now, if you've never prayed in tongues, you're gonna pray in tongues. If you've never fallen in the spirit, you're gonna fall in the spirit.
If you've never been healed, you're gonna be healed. If you've never healed anyone, you might just lay hands on your son walking by and he's gonna get healed. Whatever it is, God's going to radically encounter you. That's amazing. Summer. I just, I love you girl. I can't thank you enough. I love you. I like what move next door will be BFSI.
Listen, I haven't been to Texas. I keep saying, Lord, I need to get to Texas. 'cause I really wanna go to the premiere of like the chosen you need. You need, you need to get there in September and figure it out. Yeah, I know. Yeah. I think I'll be in DC at that time. We'll see. But anyway any final thoughts for the perfectionists who have dialed in?
I feel like, like for anything, anything could be, well, not anything, but a [01:03:00] lot of things. You know, they say you can eat too much broccoli and it's bad for you. Right. There is a root of your perfectionism that has gotten you where you are and it's brilliant and it's awesome and it gives you diligence and hard work and attention to detail and all that stuff's good.
But they say like, your strength overexerted becomes your weakness. Yeah. So the enemy wants to use that perfectionism against you and you have to make a decision and take a stand that you're not gonna let him do that anymore. Yeah. And you have to say, yeah, this is where it ends. Like I, I'm gonna do these things really well, but then I'm gonna live surrendered.
And I promise you, when you can surrender that part of your perfectionism over to the Lord, he will take care of you. Good. He'll not jump out of an airplane without a parachute. And it will. That's right. It will be uncomfortable and it will stretch you. But the more you do it, the more he will show up. I'm not saying the more comfortable you'll get.
'cause I feel like he just wants me to completely always be uncomfortable. Yeah. As soon as I get comfortable with doing this, he's gonna do the next thing.
[01:04:00] Yeah. As soon as I get comfortable with that, he's gonna do the next thing. But I take comfort in knowing that I don't ever have to wait to stop being uncomfortable.
It's just gonna keep going. Yeah. Yeah. I don't have to wait until I don't have that voice. I don't have to wait until I'm ready. Stop waiting till you're ready. Yeah. Stop waiting for everything to line up. Stop waiting for it to be perfect. If you wanna redeem your perfectionism, you just have to be surrendered to the Lord and give him your Yes quicker.
He's calling you. That's why you watched this. 'cause he's calling you. Yeah. He's calling you and everything that you have thought and desired in your heart, it's there for a reason. Yeah. You're not crazy. And you know, Paul, even Paul said, I am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I've committed.
Paul had to be persuaded. We have to be persuaded. But the persuasion comes because we have done what Summer is saying right now. And in that process we begin to realize he is who he says
[01:05:00] he is. He's as faithful as he says he will be. And we're persuaded. So that's faith. And our faith grows summer.
I can't wait to see what he is gonna do with you. 'cause you just getting started man. Yeah. Have you ever preached? Well, I believe that's what he is calling me to do. What? And not in the traditional church kind of way. Oh, you're you, I you're gonna preach. Yeah. You're gonna preach, you're gonna pray, you're gonna prophesy, you're gonna lay hands on people and God is gonna move.
That's right. Is you have. That's right. And he's gonna operate and it's like God can use anybody. The reason I coach people to be speakers. People are like, well, God can use anybody. Yeah. But he can use somebody who has practiced and perfected the piano a lot easier than someone who hasn't. Yeah, he can. He can use what you show up to the table with a lot.
Yeah. So you might as well learn to be the best speaker you can for the kingdom. And then he's gonna use that. That's, I believe, that you have innate qualities in you of boldness and confidence and power and strength. And [01:06:00] he is just, oh man, I can't wait to see what happens with you in this season. So I just thank you, Lord, for this radical woman and this podcast and people getting set free of that spirit of perfectionism and everything that you are gonna do with her life and just calling out the lioness in her.
Mm. And uh, for her, the Lord just says, go be ridiculous. Fully more hands on people in the grocery store. I love it. Go. I'm ready. I'm ready. I'm finally saying yes. And I am gaining more confidence and I don't want it to be confidence in me, but I wanna partner with him and, uh. And I wanna believe, and he keeps saying to me, dream Big little one.
Dream big. Yeah, dream bigger. I know you were. Can I pray? Can I pray us out? Yeah, let's do it. Okay. I'm just gonna remind y'all, join the Bible Challenge Fear into faith.com. Fear into faith.com. Join the Bible Challenge. Read the Bible with us. Faith on fire live.com. Faith on fire live.com. Come to our
[01:07:00] event September 18th through the 20th for Radical Encounters with God.
We always say, come see. Come find out what happens when Heaven invades the room. Come on and redeemed 50, redeemed 50. Redeem 50 for your discount code. Yeah, thanks. We'll drop that in the comments. Father, we just thank you and praise you for LAN's Yes for her. Bold, yes for her. Quicker, faster. Yes. Father, to do this podcast for redeeming people that are struggling with the gift of perfectionism.
Lord, to thank you and praise you for that, and Father, in the name of Jesus, I just ask that you would encounter your people right where they are, if they're watching this live, that you would encounter them, father, that they would have the boldness and confidence to go, okay, I don't know who this crazy blonde woman is, but they would put their hands in the air and say, all right, Lord, I wanna encounter you like that.
I wanna be set free. I wanna be healed. I wanna be delivered. Lord, I'm hungry and I'm crying out to you in the name of Jesus. And Father, I pray that you would meet them. Thank you, holy Spirit, that you would fall upon them even if they're listening to this as a replay seven years later. There's no
[01:08:00] time zone for the Lord.
There's no agenda for the Lord. He moves how he wants to move Lord, and that you would fall upon 'em, that they would feel seen. They would feel hurt. They would feel valued. They would feel your spirit upon them in a way, father, that you would burn them from, from the bottom of their feet to the top of their head, father, that they would feel your presence.
They would shake and quake and shudder over the reality of how much you love them. Father, how much you see them. Father, I just thank you and praise you for their Yes. Father, I ask that you would remove in the name of Jesus any feared doubt, warrior tremble that has got their foot on their throat, that's got their foot on them, becoming a speaker, becoming an author, taking stages, preaching the word, starting that business.
Lord, we command in the name of Jesus that that foot is removed off of them. Father, you have called them to be the head and not the tail, father. Amen. So we breathe life right now in the name of Jesus, on their dreams, on the yes that they're calling them to Father, whatever it is. If they've been afraid of the power within them, they've been afraid of the big voice and the big calling in the big dreams.
[01:09:00]Father, we just laugh at the enemy and say, today's the day you've been stomped out. And fear shifts into faith, and faith gets set on fire in the name of Jesus', father. Amen. Woo. Let's go. I wanna hear testimonies, drop 'em in the comments. We wanna be able to go back and see that summer. God bless you. I can't wait to hear more of your story.
Thank you for being here. Thanks for having me.
